There are many things to remember if you are promoting your own website!
When choosing keywords, look for keywords with low competition and high popularity rates.
To be successful on the search engines you should prepare your web pages for search engine submission prior to submitting to the major search engines.
When submitting to a web directory, remember to take the time and fill in the information properly, as a real editor and not a piece of software will edit the directory.
Try to ensure that each page contains a generous amount of information. For best results we recommend that each page you submit have at least 200 words of copy on it.
Do not do anything to trick the search engines into listing your site- you may get penalised.
Optimise your pages by only using keywords in your keywords meta tag that directly relate to the content of your page.
High listings do not happen over night and lots of constant tweaking is involved- so remember- please be patient!
