Working with DeRisk IT, Elemental Creative Ltd has worked on a number of projects; ensuring applications are accessible to a minimum of the WAI Priority two guidelines.

The Business Solution

Elemental Creative Ltd carried out accessibility testing services on a new online learning portal created by Sun Microsystems against the following standards to identify barriers to access:

• W3C / WCAG / WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
• RNIB See it Right Accessible Website Guidelines
• 1995 Disabilities Discrimination Act UK
• automated tools such as Web Xact and Bobby

Project Deliverables

The deliverables from this project were as follows:

• All errors within the online learning portal were reported to Sun Microsystems development team and were fixed in accordance to the DDA guidelines
• Full retest to ensure all errors were fixed correctly
